At ASR we have developed a new innovative process in bathtub refinishing. TubFusion is a revolutionary new process used in bathtub refinishing exclusively by American Surface Restoration. We developed this process over the past several years. TubFusioN has up to 400% better adhesion on bathtubs versus traditional methods of bathtub refinishing. TubFusioN is the leader in nano technology finishes. TubFusioN causes a reaction with the existing porcelain, molecularly fusing into the tub surface. At ASR we constantly strive to keep on top of new technology as well as development of our own processes.

Our Process

Day1 (basic) 5 year warranty

-Install fume exhausting equipment

-Caulking around bathtub is removed

-Strip existing surface if previously refinished ($100.00)

-Etching existing surface of the bathtub (when getting quotes this is the single most important step in refinishing, some companies claim this is not needed, that is simply a myth. Instead they literally use a glue for paint! Any quality refinisher will use etch)

-Remove overflow and drain assembly

-Wet sand entire surface of bathtub to remove any impurities

-Thoroughly dry surface of bathtub

-Mask off entire bathroom to protect from dust and overspray

-Apply TubFusioN to entire surface of bathtub

-Apply 3 coats of porcelain primer

-Apply 4 coats of high gloss synthetic porcelain.  

-Allow overnight cure

- Day one typically will be between 4-6 hours

Day2 (premium) 7 year warranty(5 year on rental property)

-Wet sand and polish entire surface of bathtub (detailing) this will remove any dust that has drifted onto the surface during curing.

-Final polish with Nanoseal polish this fills microscopic pours in the surface and brings extreme brilliance to the tub.

-Reinstall the drain and overflow assembly(or install new parts additional)

-Re-caulk around tub perimeter

-Remove all masking and the tub is ready for service after the caulking is dry.

- Day 2 is typically between 1-2.5 hours

Pricing is based on a standard 5 foot bathtub.

If tub has been previously refinished add $100.00 to the total price to strip surface.
